Dr. Veda Brown is passionate about the empowerment of young children. In addition to serving as an elementary school teacher and a university psychology professor, she has conducted national training workshops to help parents, early educators, researchers, and community leaders provide the best teaching/learning strategies that facilitate diverse learning styles – especially in the area of self-actualization and early literacy development.

Dr. Brown has done extensive research in cognitive development, youth violence prevention and parenting, and has developed instructional modules and training workshops to help parents, early educators, researchers, and community leaders provide the best teaching/learning strategies that facilitate diverse learning styles.

She has authored and co-authored numerous academic articles, books, book reviews, etc. and has taught thousands of parents the importance of providing effective learning environments that enhance young children’s emotional, cognitive and social development. While serving on national committees and task forces, she examined youth violence and violence against teachers and developed effective intervention strategies.
